Cosmetic Dentistry
Overview
Smiling is one of the first expressions we learn as humans. It reflects our confidence, our joy, and our recognition of another. It is no wonder then why a person’s smile is one of the first things we notice. Smiling and returning one’s smile is a timeless act of reciprocating your humanity. Consequently, your smile is something you should treasure and take great care of. With the help of cosmetic dentistry, several treatment options are often available to bring out the best version of yours. Dr. Omar will help you realize the potential of your perfect smile with an array of treatment options. As a perfectionist with an artistic eye, he will be able to discuss what options would work best for your teeth, your lifestyle, and your budget.
Composite Bonding
Composite bonding is a conservative treatment option that is best for individuals who just want to correct minor imperfections in their teeth. It is great for closing small gaps between teeth and correcting chipping and unevenness. It doesn’t require any shaving of tooth structure and uses tooth colored resin to match the natural shade of your teeth as they are.
Composite Veneers
Composite veneers are a great cost-effective alternative to traditional porcelain veneers. Like the latter, composite veneers are thin shells that layer over your underlying teeth to offer a more harmonious and brighter smile. The process involves little to no preparation of tooth structure at all. Unlike porcelain veneers, composite veneers are made of a durable composite resin. They can be designed chairside or fabricated by a lab.
Whitening
With a selection of different teeth whitening treatments available, patients can choose the right one for their needs. Tooth discoloration caused by foods, drinks, smoking and aging can be significantly brightened with in-office and at-home whitening treatments. Invisalign®
Invisalign® orthodontics is a great option for discretely straightening your teeth. These clear, removable teeth aligners are subtle and more comfortable than traditional braces. Dr. Omar might recommend Invisalign as a treatment option in cosmetic cases because straightening the teeth before veneers can significantly reduce the amount of tooth reduction needed to compensate for the crooked teeth. While porcelain veneers can mask crowding in mild cases, utilizing Invisalign first can sometimes be necessary for more ideal results. Ask Dr. Omar if your cosmetic transformation warrants Invisalign orthodontic treatment first.
